Digital Signage for Hospitality #withiiyama

Digital Signage for a Golf Course ft. The Club Company to ensure different areas of the club have the relevant messaging.

The Club Company is a UK-based multifaceted business owning and operating 15 golf country club resorts throughout the country. They have been proud members of UKActive for many years now and won several prestigious Flame Awards recognising high levels of service within the health and fitness industry. Still, to make the overall customer experience even better and keep their clients and members satisfied, they were facing a challenge with how to ensure different areas of the club have the relevant messaging they required. And that’s where digital signage proved to be the answer they were looking for.

After careful market analysis, The Club Company identified iiyama as a supplier to work with. Owing to the quality of the screens primarily. They used the integration with Nsign – a cloud-based content management platform offered on many of the iiyama screens as an option, to get an all-in-one digital signage solution and ultimately provide their members and clients with a “hole-in-one” experience, they were aiming for when taking this project on.

Richard Theaker, the Chief Technological Officer at The Club Company, explains:

We’re in a very multifaceted business, who do golf, hotel, spa, gym etc. And that requires different messaging in different areas at different times in order to get the best out of the messaging we want to convey. The screens are very eye-catching, they draw the message to the member, to the guest very easily.”

To make it a success, a variety of iiyama products have been used for different areas of the club.

 iiyama desktop

(B2083HSD, XU2493HS) LED-backlit monitors are used in the back office and reception areas. Their height-adjustable stands ensure perfect posture and optimal viewing comfort for employees and gym members alike.

T2236MSC

– a 22’’, Full HD (1920x1080) touchscreen offering accurate Projective Capacitive 10-point touch technology, delivers seamless touch response within the point-of-sale locations in the club, among others - the restaurant.

iiyama LFDs - the 42 series

4K UHD professional displays, which can be used in both landscape and portrait orientation and feature Android OS allowing for easy customization by installing the required applications directly to the screen, are used primarily as digital scoreboards, allowing The Golf Club to make use of the revolutionary Toptracer technology – a system once seen on TV only, that can now be installed at driving ranges to trace and analyze shots hit by ordinary players.

And what seemed like a complex process to manage across the different locations turned out to be super simple in the end. As Richard Theaker points out:

We take the screens out, connect it to the WiFi, it comes up with a QR code. We scan the QR code on our phone which logs us into NSign. We type in the location of the screen and it's good to go.”

Lewis Clifford, Sales and Marketing Manager Professional Displays added,

“Understanding the needs of The Club Company and how they wanted to engage with their members was a clear opportunity for iiyama to introduce our 42 SERIES signage displays in conjunction with the embedded Nsign cloud-based CMS. What has been great about this relationship is that we’ve been able to introduce other products from our portfolio like Small Format Touchscreens and Desktop Monitors to equip their teams and spaces to serve their customers and the overall club experience.”
